Tucked away amidst large oaks, pines, camellias, azaleas, day lilies, daffodils, roses, wisteria and an endless array of other foliage, the Rose Cottage & Gardens is a charming get away from the busy clamor of daily routine. Built in 1932, the cottage has a unique and relaxing atmosphere that is perfect for intimate lunches as well as business lunches. Wedding receptions, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, women’s or men’s group meetings and business events are all perfect events for the Rose Cottage & Gardens.
When the Rose Cottage restaurant opened 10 years ago, the two enchanting owners and operators developed an outstanding reputation for the restaurant. Beef, chicken, pork, fish dishes with starch, vegetables and several great salads, with homemade rolls and desserts brought in folks from far and wide.
The new owners, Stephanie Morgan and Marlen Kuszmaul want to carry on the strong tradition of great food and cordiality. “We meet so many people that are excited about the re-opening of the restaurant because they loved the great food and ambiance.”
The dark oak floors, the fireplace, the 12 foot solid wood table, the cornice lighting, the terrific view all add to the allure of the cottage. There are several private rooms for dining as well. The large patio is perfect for the outdoor wedding or party. The view from the patio makes you feel like you are far away from everyday hassles. If you listen carefully you can even hear the waterfall on the grounds.
Lunches will be Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday brunch is from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Special events can be planned through the events coordinator, Stephanie Morgan. Stephanie will assist you in your plan for simple and elegant events or intricate deluxe events; just let us know what you envision for your important day.
