Now, The Cottage is open for dinner. The restaurant will continue catering and hosting private parties.

Lunch, brunch and catering spot plans to expand to dinner role – July 19, 2011
A bit hidden up a little hill in Spartanburg is Rose Cottage & Gardens. It’s a one-stop shop—a restaurant, bakery and a place for ceremonies, receptions, cooking classes and even the occasional murder mystery dinner theater.
After serving just lunch and a Sunday buffet for a few years, now Rose Cottage & Gardens will be opening for dinner July 22.
“A lot of people are surprised when they come in,” says Stephanie Morgan, who is co-owner with her mother, Marlen Kuszmaul. “It feels like home and it’s comfortable.

Gluten-free chef brings personal experience to the table

Rose Cottage & Gardens owners knew they had to do something when customers started asking for gluten-free foods.
The issue became even more important after co-owner Marlen Kuszmaul began noticing her own food allergy problems. She did research and soon discovered she had symptoms of celiac disease. Kuszmaul made sure her menu offered dishes for people with similar conditions.

ROSE COTTAGE AND GARDENS: SERVING UP FOOD AND FUN FOR ALL AGES
Spartanburg, SC – Rose Cottage and Gardens, Restaurant, Receptions and Bakery opened seven months ago and are having more options than just lunch and private events. The menu has changed slighty, new construction of the restaurant and more exciting events.
The menu is still a full buet but now the choice of unlimited homemade soups, salads, desserts and drinks are now available for $6.99 plus tax. Rose Cottage and Gardens are also catering events as well as the daily luncheon buffet.
The new events for February are Kid’s Cooking classes, Singles Night Out and a romantic Valentines Candlelight Dinner. The Valentines Candlelight Dinner is February 13th with a delicious menu. Some of the tasty items consist of baked brie, lobster bisque, beef medallions and chicken pus. There will also be a live jazz band to help relax and enjoy the night away.
The Kid‘s cooking class is February 17 at 6p.m., the children will be learning how to make a delicious pizza from scratch. The parents can join their children to enjoy their child’s famous homemade pizza, desserts and salads. Children can now exercise their culinary muscles at this Tuesday’s Kids Cooking class.
Rose Cottage and Gardens are hosting their rst Singles Night out February 20th at 7:20 p.m. Come celebrate the night out by sitting out on the patio by the re or playing games inside. Chili, nachos, desserts and drinks will be served. Reservations recommended.
